Tech P&Q wanted to achieve its analytics goals. They became our partner in a five-part plan.
The team found a high-value opportunity and realized that their innovative approach could yield meaningful results. The group consisted of a sponsor and operational people who provided full-time coding skills for an analytics system. They were also responsible for recruiting other people.
The operational person’s responsibility was overseeing daily operations to keep things running smoothly during development cycles. The team’s goal was to make sure all went well by managing various marketing strategy aspects and focusing on cross-selling potential.
We assessed Tech P&Q’s current portfolio and cross-selling performance with careful analysis. We created customer profiles to explore personal events that triggered additional product sales and contract details. They had over ten years’ worth of data to make better business decisions about where their focus should be on future investments or marketing efforts as we advanced.
A data lake is the lifeblood of any company, containing information on everything from customer preferences to product catalogs. This one had more than 20 databases storing insights about shoppers and their habits over the past ten years, including client-side code that helps predict what they’ll buy along with external sources like social media channels where customers share feedback.
Our success was mainly due to the agile development methods used. The team was able to break down the project into separate sprints that covered every core task from data prep and loading, all while staying close enough to avoid missing any important information or knowledge transfer opportunities between developers working on the different parts.
The project also included challenging the established beliefs of top management. Weekly meetings ensured any roadblocks would be addressed quickly and effectively so that all levers affecting cross-selling could also come into play. Maintaining an open dialogue with the team was crucial for customer engagement initiatives.
