Meet Joel Phillips


Joel Phillips is a seasoned entrepreneur who has dedicated his career to building businesses and bridging the gap between technology and business. As CEO of Proshark, a leading software development, automation, and digital solutions company, Joel brings a wealth of experience and expertise in management and technology. In addition, Joel Phillips is the CTO of the Strategic Advisor Board, a consulting firm that helps small and mid-sized businesses grow and scale. He is the Global Partner for North America and Europe.


With experience and focus in leadership, digital solutions, software development, automation, app development, data sciences, analytics, and cybersecurity, Joel has helped many businesses grow and succeed. He is constantly motivated to build and inspire teams by fostering new ideas and imaginative solutions using a competitive and collaborative foundation. Joel’s innate curiosity and strong analytical skills compel him to define, test, measure, and strategically refine systems and processes to help organizations achieve their goals.

With a diverse professional background spanning multiple industries, Joel is a member of Mensa and certified in multiple technologies. He holds a real estate broker’s license in California. Prior to founding Proshark, he served as a Senior Project Manager for 4G Development, where he managed over thirty commercial construction projects from entitlement to completion. During his tenure as a broker, managing over 50 licensed agents, he developed his own web-based subscription platform offering distressed assets, appraisals, loans, and other related services. His resume also includes stints at Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, eAssist Global Solutions, American Loans, Inc., and ELNT, Inc.


Joel Phillips is committed to giving back to the community as evidenced by his involvement with organizations such as the J. Ryley Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and as Planning Commission Chairman for the City of Murrieta. Having sat on multiple boards and advisory boards, Joel firmly believes in using his expertise as a foundation of education and social responsibility.


When not working, Joel enjoys spending time with his family, flying (he’s a licensed pilot), sailing, playing/mixing music, golfing, and biking. His passion for life and commitment to excellence are at the core of everything he does, and he’s dedicated to helping businesses succeed in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
